Resources: Needs and Wants is the fourth and final book in the series Social Science Activities for Australian Schools. This book helps students to identify people’s needs and wants and understand the difference between them. It also encourages students to explore how people’s needs and wants are met through the creation of both ‘natural’ and ‘made’ resources and examine how people provide ‘goods’ and ‘services’ to meet society’s needs and wants.

Carefully constructed and visually appealing activity pages help students to understand these key concepts of the Australian curriculum. Also included in Resources: Needs and Wants are a list of useful websites, ideas for presenting and extending the activities and assessment and evaluation templates to record students’ progress.
