Practical Science Series: Life and Living (6-8)

Ages: 6-8 years

Contains a set of practical lesson ideas and worksheets to explore the strand of Life and Living. Specific activities focus on body parts, basic needs, personal growth, pets and food chains. Other tasks focus on insect study, plant parts and the interrelationship between animals and plants. A range of science skills will be developed through these activities including classifying, drawing, labelling, and describing observations. Educational website references have been included where possible. All classroom activities are outcome linked to the science strands of state curriculum documents.
