Weather Related Disasters

For Ages: 10+ years

Disasters such as floods, fires, famines and cyclones can affect us both personally and on a national scale. These disasters are not selective in their choice of victims - TV news images of areas ravaged by one or the other of these disasters are unfortunately familiar sites. This book provides some insight into these types of weather related disasters by requiring students to seek knowledge and to evaluate their understandings throughout the range of activities.
